Katherine Capperella

Katherine Capperella is Global Head, Patient Engagement Leader at Janssen. In this role, Katherine leads a cross-functional team responsible for developing and driving patient engagement strategy and measuring progress over time. She and her team are focused on leading Janssen to incorporate direct patient voice early and throughout the entire product lifecycle, beginning with disease area strategies and including target product profiles, formulations, clinical trials and post-marketing activities. Katherine has more than 20 years of experience at Johnson & Johnson in roles of increasing responsibility. Previously, Katherine served as global commercial vice president for Janssen’s Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) business developing pharmaceutical ingredients for pain. Prior to that, Katherine led a cross-functional team responsible for commercial assessments of licensing and acquisition opportunities for Janssen neuroscience. Katherine began her career in women’s health and has demonstrated success in launch, turnaround and mature businesses in a variety of disease areas. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing from the Kelley School of Business.
